P3 Live Session reminder - Oct 21, 2007
The below mentioned live in studio recording for P3 Live Session will be broadcasted on Wednesday (Oct 24) at 21:30 CET. The show will be streamed via the SR homepage (click the "Webbradio" link to the top left) and will also be available online for 30 days after the initial broadcast.
We're now relaxing after the sold-out show in Budapest - the second time ever we've played on a boat! Everything went well, and a special mention must be made to the incredible catering services. Hail to the girl in the Satyricon shirt for doing a fantastic job!
Photos and videos from the tour have started appear - see/hear for yourselves:
The much sought-after D.T. flask - previously only available on some dates of the last US tour - is finally here again. The style conscious consumer of beverages can purchase this cool item at our merchandise stand during the current tour, so bring some extra €€€.
Tour update! - Oct 9, 2007
Things are so far going fine on the Eastpak Antidote tour. With The UK freshly conquered, we're now sharpening our blades to strike through the heart of the European mainland. Tonight's show in Den Bosch, Holland is entirely sold out, so it'll be a blast for sure. Some fan-filmed video snippets are up on YouTube, so do a quick search if so inclined. Tranquillity with one "L", please. British spelling.
All bands are delivering their metal goods with great intensity and dedication night after night, and it really feels like the whole tour is going down really well. Check out some blog posts from the various bands at www.antidotetour.com to get some perspectives on live on the road.
In the studio again! - Sep 20, 2007
Just got back home from one of the most bizarre and amusing recording experiences in a long time. As a special performance for the Swedish radio network, we did a "live in studio" recording for their P3 Live Session show.
The format consists of a band playing in front of an audience of 8th grade school kids, who are then invited to ask questions to the musicians afterwards. The result - a 90 minute show featuring about an hour of music interspersed with interviews with all the band members - is scheduled for broadcast on October 24. In addition, there will be be video footage available. Stay tuned for more specific info as the date draws near.
Video interview online! - Sep 18, 2007
Mestrock.se conducted a nice and informative interview with Mikael Stanne prior to the sold-out show at Trädgårn, Gothenburg (Sep. 5). It's in Swedish, but even those not versed in the tongue of the gods can get some enjoyment out of the clip, as it contains lots of live footage.
The "Scandinavian fiction" mini tour was a huge success, with most of the shows being completely sold out. Thanks and salutations to Sonic Syndicate and Blofly for the great support!
We're now at home preparing for the Eastpak Antidote tour, which will kick off in about two weeks. See you there!
Greek shows confirmed - Aug 27, 2007
Finally time for us to visit Greece again! Supported by the legendary SAMAEL, we'll have the pleasure of playing the following shows:
This will be the first time in five years that we're visiting these cities, so rest assured that it'll be an experience out of the ordinary.
Festival season over - Aug 23, 2007
Pic: Kerstin Rössler
In true D.T. fashion, Bloodstock and Summerbreeze were ravaged last weekend, spelling an end to the festival season of 2007. This was probably our most active summer ever, and while our sweaty bodies are recovering from the mayhem, preparations for the upcoming tours are being made.
We're raided the rehearsal room for leftover merchandise, so on the upcoming "Scandinavian fiction" tour we'll be offering some rare and out-of-print shirts as well as other goodies for those who are interested.

Note that for contractual reasons we won't be appearing on the Scandinavian dates of the tour, so the only way for people in Sweden, Denmark and Norway to see us this autumn is to attend our own headline shows in early September.
To avoid any speculation or gossip, we remind you that this is the first European tour that actually is officially confirmed by us, so the claim by certain news sites that we've "cancelled" other obligations in order to be part of this tour therefore aren't valid.
Thank you, Arvika + New festival confirmed - July 15, 2007
The last of the three big Swedish festivals was conquered last friday, and the response was overwhelming. Thanks to everyone that showed up and kudos to Hocico for delivering some killer music!
Some new tattoo pics and live photos are posted in the media section. More will follow.
We can also announce that we will headline the Brutal assault festival in the Czech republic on the 9th of August.
Last weekend's performance at Metal show IV in Latvia turned out to be a bizarre experience. Just when we were ready to hit the stage, we were informed that the PA system had broken down during the previous band's show, needing extensive repair. After a lot of waiting, things got resolved, and we finally could start our set at around 01:30 AM. Huge thanks to all the great Latvian metalheads for their patience and support!
Hello Oslo, my name is Koslo - July 5, 2007
More dates added to the aforementioned tour:
9/9: Århus, Denmark - Voxhall
10/9: Copenhagen, Denmark - The Rock
12/9: Oslo, Norway - John Dee
This is the first time in five hundred years that we play in Denmark, and it's long overdue. Will be a pleasure!
Support bands for Swedish tour announced - July 2, 2007
We're pleased to announce that we'll be sharing the stage with Sonic syndicate and Blofly on our upcoming Swedish trek. As previously mentioned, these are the dates:
5/9: Trädgårn, Göteborg
6/9: Nalen, Stockholm
7/9: Sigurdsgatan 25, Västerås
8/9: KB, Malmö
Tomorrow, the fine people of Gothenburg can experience no less than two D.T. member related events: Niklas will play the debut gig with his other band Laethora at Belsepub/Henriksberg (Stigbergsliden 7), and Mikael will be DJ:ing at the Close-up magazine pre-Metaltown party at Harrys (Vasagatan 43). Be there!
So far so good - June 21, 2007
Festivals are going fine, and footage is starting to appear on YouTube, Flickr and the usual media sharing sites. We've also had lots of photo submissions sent to us, and we promise that there will be an update (also including the pics from the Japan/Korea/Australia shows last year as well as the recent US tour) as soon as possible. There also are some VERY cool tattoo pics just waiting to be posted.
However, since we'll leave Gothenburg at 04:30 tomorrow morning for the Bang your head and Hellfest festivals, there's only time to post a quick link to the fine people at Rockfoto, who documented out show at Hultsfred last weekend. Check the photos out here:
Speaking of Hultsfred, this show was the first to display a set of animations and projections during our performance. The whole gig was filmed with pro equipment and there's a possibility that the footage will be publically available in the future.
YouTube strikes again - June 17, 2007
This one is too good not to mention here. Italian fan Ercorea has uploaded a ten-minute piano medley featuring themes from various songs of the "The mind's I" album. Great work!
The festival season has began! Last weekend, we conquered Spain (Lorca rock) and Italy (Gods of metal), and yesterday our first appearance at Sweden rock took place.in front of a huge crowd of fans showing their support despite the early hour. The "Fiction" material translates well to the live environment, and we're looking forward to bringing the mayhem to Sauna open air in Finland tomorrow. See you there!
"Terminus" video uploaded! - May 30, 2007
The promo video for "Terminus (where death is most alive)" is now ready, and we'd like to thank Sven Kirk for an original, amusing and generally excellent piece of work. Click below to watch:
Swedish tour announced - May 28, 2007
Touring details for the autumn are slowly starting to take shape. Plenty of exciting stuff is being planned, and more announcements are in the pipeline, but for now we can let you know that we'll embark on a small tour throughout our home country in the beginning of September. These are the dates:
5/9: Trädgårn, Göteborg
6/9: Nalen, Stockholm
7/9: Sigurdsgatan 25, Västerås
8/9: KB, Malmö
More details regarding support bands etc will follow shortly. Tickets will be available via Ticnet.se and the usual outlets soon.
Apparantly, a minor amount of the limited edition "Fiction" copies contain a manufacturing error making it impossible to access the screensaver content. The videos play just fine, so it's not the end of the world, but those with a faulty copy can download the material here: http://specials.centurymedia.de/dt/DARK_TRANQUILLITY_GOODIES.zip
Pre-festival update - May 18, 2007
As the splash page implies, things are indeed looking victorious!
"Fiction" has been out for a few weeks now, and as no-one can have failed to notice, the response has been truly phenomenal. In all fairness, we're used to our albums reciveving rave reviews from fans and critics alike, but the reactions to our new little baby have exceeded everything we've experienced before - a lot of people even have dubbed it our best album (at last we could dethrone the 12 year old "The gallery" from that spot).
Here in Sweden, the feedback has been nothing short of fantastic. #1 and #2 in the soundchecks of the two leading metal magazines (Sweden Rock and Close-up) and great reviews in all the major newspapers and tabloids - not to mention good chart positions, healthy sales and a general thumbs-up from the metal community.
Promotion activities have been manyfold and weird. Apart from the usual tons of interviews, Mikael and Martin B. recently graced the premises of MTV Nordic to appear in the morning show "Mycket mer än müsli", in which they discussed the new album as well as playing some poker.
Gig-wise, we'll have our busiest summer ever, playing the three most prolific Swedish festivals (Hultsfred, Arvika and Sweden Rock) as well as heading out all over europe. Touring plans for the autumn are starting to take shape, and as soon as we know anything definite, we'll let you in on the information.
Suomi Finland Perkele!!! - May 07, 2007
Sharpen your knives, heat up the saunas and bring on the Koskenkorva! We're confirmed for no less than two festivals in the land of the thousand lakes:
In other Finland-related news, "Fiction" entered the national charts at a remarkable #19. Other chart positions include #12 in Sweden and #59 in Germany. More updates to follow shortly.
UPDATE: Good news from Italy: "Fiction" entered the official album chart at #34 and the indie chart at #9 - a big leap forward from "Character"!
E-card, new song online, festival update - April 25, 2007
Century Media just published an E-card for "Fiction" - check it out here.
For those who haven't heard the album yet, we've now uploaded another "Fiction" tune to our MySpace page, namely "Terminus (where death is most alive)". Also check out the video clip of said song from our Australian tour last autumn and see if you can spot the differences.
Furthermore, we're now confirmed for Sweden's biggest festival, Hultsfredsfestivalen, which takes place June 14-16.
More YouTube sweetness - April 23, 2007
Piano cover of "Auctioned" from the "Projector" album:
Just got back home from the tour, which without doubt was our most successful US trek so far. Huge thanks to everyone involved (bands, crew, audience). It was an honour sharing the stage with three of the best bands in the metal scene, and every night was a great experience. The final show in Los Angeles turned out to be a real highlight, with all sort of bizarre and wicked things taking place during the gig. Luckily we had doctors available!
As soon as time permits, we'll update the homepage with photos from the shows. We've already been sent quite a lot of 'em, but if you have quality pics, please don't hesitate to email them to darkhq@gmail.com.
"Fiction" is released today in some territories, and the reviews are starting to appear online. A quick google search will show you that the response so far is nothing short of monumental, and we'll have a collection of review links up in the near future. Even Blabbermouth loves it!
The below-mentioned tour EP eventually showed up, and we're told that they're now available through Hot Topic as well.
Two new festivals are now confirmed:
June 2 - Lorca Rock, Spain
July 7 - Metal show IV, Latvia
Aug 17 - Bloodstock, UK
. Finally, we have the pleasure of announcing two new D.T. fansites on the Interweb. Visit them and show your support:
"Focus shift" tour EP soon for sale - April 4, 2007
Starting from tomorrow's date in Chicago, we'll be selling a special 2-track sampler EP featuring "Focus shift" and "Terminus (where death is most alive)" from the upcoming album. The sampler was originally intented to be available during the whole tour, but due to manufacturing problems we won't receive them until tomorrow (fingers crossed).
The EP is extremely limited and will be sold for a measly two bucks at our merchandise stand. A great and legal way for old and new fans to get a preview taster of "Fiction".
Tour update - March 30, 2007
Just arrived to Millvale, PA where we're playing at Mr.Smalls Theatre, which actually is an old church - now isn't that weird?
The tour is fantastic, with the shows in Montreal and Toronto being the highlights so far. We also managed to fit in a photosession with Peter Herneheim, who immortalized our pale and miserable faces against even more pale and miserable industrial backgrounds. Looking forward seeing the result!
Last, an important message from Michael Nicklasson:
I've gotten some mails and questions concerning my health during this tour, from fans that are worried about my weight loss and my numbness. The thing is that I just got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes one week before this tour, so I just started with insulin. I'm getting a little better day by day and it`s a real struggle for me, but I'm trying to do my best for the band and the fans. I wanted to post this so everyone knows the facts about this. As it is right now my body doesn't work as it´s supposed to and that means that I'm very tired all the time, not having the energy that I used to have...but as written above, I just want to say to those who are worried about me: don't be - ok? Now you know why things are as they are, and I'm getting a little bit better everyday...Thanx for your concerns everyone, I will not give up!
Cheers,
Mickey

New year, new adventures - Jan 4, 2007
2007 has started - as most of you doubtlessly have noticed - and things are busy in the D.T. headquarters. Our team of highly trained gnomes is in the process of finalizing the details surrounding the upcoming album - title, song selection, running order, artwork, photo sessions, video(s), pre/post-album EP, eventual bonus DVD footage, PR, touring/festival activity and everything in between. More info will follow as soon as things are starting to shape up. Thanks for your patience!
And of course, a huge salute and best wishes for the new year to all of you that have in word or deed supported us during the past twelve months.
Thanks to those of you who have submitted tattoo and live photos - we'll get to uploading them here as soon as things are less hectic with the album preparations.
Official YouTube channel + studio footage! - December 2, 2006
That's right - it's time to jump on the Web 2.0 bandwagon! We recently opened a YouTube channel for the purpose of displaying exclusive video clips and rare gems from the D.T. treasure chest, and the first offering is a live video of "The treason wall" from the Gwang Myeong festival in South Korea earlier this autumn. More clips will be added in the near future.
UPDATE - A video clip from the recording sessions of the new album can now be found below. It's pretty short, but captures the general vibe as well as offering some crude-but-hopefully-interesting previews of some of the new songs.
Avast ye, landlubbers! - November 26, 2006
The first gig for 2007 is now confirmed! On February 15, we'll embark on the CLOSE-UP-BÅTEN cruise from Stockholm, on which we'll play together with fellow acts and pro drinkers like Tiamat, Pain and Dimension zero.
The show will showcase some material from the upcoming record, so don't miss this golden opportunity to listen to the new stuff before everyone else (provided that the album hasn't leaked by then of course...).
I can´t believe it....We made it! It´s done and there is nothing I can do about it. Just got back from the studio where everything is now shipped off to Denmark where Tue Madsen will perform his magicky magic on the things we´ve been working on these last 7 weeks.
I just finished the last vocal lines a couple of days ago and it feels sweet. As always with recordings there is alot of stress and selfdoubt but being in a more than familiar environment in Martin's studio (Rogue) has helped tremendously. The recordings have not only been smooth and focused but the overall feeling that we are creating something amazing has really driven us through this.
It turned out so different and diverse that the hardest thing for me now is to find a suitable title for the whole thing. How can i sum up in a title something that is everything and nothing, grounded and out there, intorvert and extra-terrestial all at the same time?
Well, keep watching this space and I will let you know soon enough.
Right now I am just so glad it´s done. Anders did a fantastic job grinding and beating (off) in the studio, Micke has delivered some really crushing bass, Martin and Niklas have really outdone themselves with great riffs and truly outstanding solos and Martin B has poured alot of misery and anxiety into his soundscapes.
Now all we do is wait for the mix, and this being our first time mixing out of house so to speak we are really excited to hear what the hell we´ve been up to!
Cheers,
/Mikael
Studio update - October 26, 2006
Just a quick update on the studio progress. We're now roughly three weeks into the recording of our 8th (or is it 9th? Depends on how you count...) full length offering, and everything has more or less proceeded according to the plans.
Drums were brutally nailed the first week, and we´re currently working simultanously with guitars, bass, vocals and electronics at Martin B's own Rogue studio, enabling the songs to gradually develop from their embryonic skeleton structures into fully equipped carriers of oblivion and pestilence.
Producer Tue Madsen was here during the first days of the process and did a great job setting up the basic sound for all the instruments. When everything is recorded, the material will be taken to his Antfarm studio in Denmark for the final mixing and mastering, after which we'll let you in on some further info regarding the contents the album.
Of chaos and eternal ink - October 25, 2006
Head over to the tattoo section for some new, original and innovative examples of D.T. related skin art that have appeared in our inbox.
Album recording starting soon - October 1 , 2006
Arrived back home in one piece (well, six pieces to be exact). Huge thanks to all promotors, fans and of course to our crew buddies/caretakers Bryan and Andrew for having made this trip such a great experience. We'll be back a.s.a.p.!
Photos from the shows have started appearing in our mailbox, and we urge everyone with quality shapshots (especially the guy with the professional camera at both shows in Korea) to submit them to darkhq@gmail.com.
The recording sessions for the next album will begin next week, so we'll post an update when things start taking form.
On the top of the world - September 22, 2006
Finally got some time out of the hectic schedule to issue a website update from the luxurious bar of our hotel in Korea. After traveling for 24 hours straight, via three different flights, we've finally arrived to Seoul and spent some quality seightseeing time visiting the 63 building and the War memorial of Korea before getting some well-needed rest for the first time in two weeks. Hence, tonight's show at the Rolling hall is bound to be a massive energy explosion that will leave no-one unaffected.
Speaking of Korea, the fine people at Dope entertainment have issued a re-release of "Character" to coincide with our gigs here. The new version features the "Lost to apathy" and "The new build" video clips.
Tip of the day: If you're a fan of technical/progressive bands like Atheist and Cynic, check out the excellent Alarum, who supported us on the Sydney and Melbourne dates.
Btw...we played some new stuff in Australia. In the words of the Black Eyed Peas: Check it out!
Korea - August 30, 2006
For those of you that have mailed us about more info on the Korean shows, here are some links:
General update + Costa Rica video added - August 4, 2006
The songwriting for the new album is progressing nicely. 10-11 songs have now been demoed, and we're busy doing the final adjustments and modifications before it's time to depart for the long awaited Japan/Korea/Australia tour.
A bootleg clip of "The wonders at your feet" and "Monochromatic stains" from the show in Costa Rica last June is now uploaded to our MySpace page for your limitless enjoyment. Find it in the video section.
Australia, Korea & Japan dates announced! - July 20, 2006
The rumours are true - we're indeed coming to Australia, but not only that; we're including Japan and Korea on the same trip.
Throughout the years, we've recieved tons of questions from fans down under wanting us to play there, so needless to say we're extremely pleased to finally have gotten the chance to deliver some metal mayhem in the land of Foster's and kangaroos.
Playing in Japan and Korea is always a fantastic experience, so it'll be a pleasure to come back for the first time in 2-3 years and play the first "Character" based shows in these territories.
These are the dates. More info regarding support bands etc will follow as soon as we know anything.

New song showcased at Evolution festival - July 18, 2006
Just returned home from one of the very best festivals there is. We had a blast meeting lots of old friends as well as watching some great performances by the other bands including the mighty Atheist - one of our biggest influences back in the day.
In order to give something extra to the ever-supportive Italian maniacs, we decided to play "Blind at heart" from the upcoming album, and judging from the great response we're definitely on to a winner.
Photos from the event will be uploaded shortly. In the meantime, check out these pics from the Borlänge show the previous weekend:
The following clips have been added to our MySpace site:
Lost to apathy - promo video
The new build - promo video
Final resistance - live in Seoul, Korea 2005
The wonders at your feet - live in Busan, Korea 2005
We just got informed that the show from last year's Gates of metal festival will be re-aired on the Swedish national radio P3. The date for this skullcrushing audio feast is June the 6th, and the performance can also be enjoyed online. More info on the broadcast will follow later on.
More album info - June 14, 2006
We can now confirm that we'll be working with acclaimed Danish producer Tue Madsen for the next album. The effort will be mixed in his Antfarm studio, while the actual recording will take place in different premises here in Sweden. Drums will be set to tape at the old Studio Fredman, while guitars, bass, vocals and electronics will be immortalized at Rogue music.
The album is as yet untitled, but some working titles (that may or may not change) are "Blind at heart", "The lesser faith", "InsignifiCunt" and "The plunge".
On a much more tragic note, we're sad to report that Jim Nunis, founder of J.Nunis custom guitars, recently passed away. Visit jnunisguitars.com for the official release.
New album details outlined + more - May 28, 2006
No updates for a while, but rest assured that we haven't been resting on our laurels. We're insanely busy with the songwriting for the next album, and it's now decided that the recordings will start in October. More details about studios (yes, that's in plural), working partners and so forth will follow as soon as everything is 100% confirmed.
As for the music itself, the material we're working on covers the whole gamut from laid back acoustic sections to furious blastbeats, so you can all look forward to a diverse and challenging offering. Most songs are still in the embryonic stages, so it'll be interesting to see how things develop.
Some media goodness to make the wait for the next magnum opus easier: A 15-minute video clip of our gig at the Fury fest in France (June 25, 2005) has been uploaded to our MySpace page. As usual with these homemade recordings, the quality itsn't stellar, but it gives a good enough representation of the show.
Also, we found an old version of "Away, delight, away" from an 8-track promo recording we did in our rehearsal studio back in the spring of 1994. This is an early incarnation of the song that differs slightly from the version that ended up on the "Of chaos and eternal night" MCD. The promo itself also contained "Punish my heaven" and "The gallery", and was sent out to a select few record labels and tape trading contacts.
We'll make an appearance at the Peace & love festival in Borlänge, Sweden, which will take place July 4-8. Exact date to be announced soon.
Some new live and tattoo pics are now uploaded to the media section - check it out!
Home from the North American tour - March 23, 2006
Just arrived back home to the frosty plains of Sweden after having spent the last five weeks on the road. The tour was a huge success, with almost all dates being sold out. Massive thanks to Opeth, Devildriver, Devin Townsend band and of course to all of you that visited the shows.
Live photos will be added in the near future. If you've got any good ones, feel free to submit them to darkhq [at] gmail.com.
The main focus now will be the songwriting for the next album, so we'll be keeping a pretty low profile on the festival curcuit this summer, only doing a selected few shows.
San Diego chaos - March 14, 2006
Yesterday's show in San Diego turned out more than a little weird. Due to our bus breaking down on the way from S.F., we arrived to the venue extremely late, not knowing whether we'd be actually be allowed to play or not. Eventually it was decided that if the gear could be set up in record time, there would be room for us to play 3-4 songs.
We regret that we couldn't deliver a show up to our usual standards, but during the circumstances we decided that it was better to play a short punk rock style set instead of cancelling altogether. We'll make up for it next time.
Kudos to Devildriver for agreeing to playing early, thanks guys!
Umeå show + Evolution festival confirmed - March 10, 2006
Shows for 2006 are beginning to get booked now. First out is a gig together with Evergrey and Bloodbound at the SkyCom Arena in Umeå, Sweden on April 28. Click below for ticket information:
Also, we're glad to announce that we'll be back at Italy's great Evolution festival, which takes place between the 14th and 16th of July. Exact schedule will be available soon, but check the homepage in the meantime:
A quick update from the road: Things are going great so far - we're having a blast on every show, and both DTB and Opeth are delivering amazing performances night after night.
All gigs have gone well, but yesterday's headline show in Montreal deserves a special mention for being nothing short of AMAZING. The crowd reaction, atmosphere and general vibe was truly spectacular, and we all agreed that it was easily among the top 5 shows ever in our 17-year old career. Hopefully we'll have a video clip from the event up and running soon.
Mikael discusses junk food on national TV - Feb 18, 2006
In the latest episode of the Swedish metal show "Rundgång", Mikael reveals his trade secrets as a longtime junkfood connoisseur. The show was aired yesterday on the SVT network and can be seen online at this location (click on the "Se del 4 av Rundgång" link):

Raleigh show cancellation explanation - Feb 16, 2006
As most of you have heard, we didn't play the 1st gig of the tour due to a missed flight in Paris. Due to foggy weather conditions, the plane from Gothenburg to Paris took off a bit later than scheduled. Despite the airline staff guaranteeing that they'd keep the connecting plane to Atlanta on hold and even arranging a special shuttle taking us to the gate as quickly as possible, we were met with a "too late, sorry" response when trying to check in.
Our management checked all possible options for booking a new flight to allow us to make it to Raleigh in time, but ultimately we had no other choice than to wait for the next Paris-Atlanta flight 24 hours later.
We're really sorry for the inconvenience caused, but hope that everyone understands that what happened was solely the fault of Delta Airlines and not the band, management or any promotor. We did our outmost to solve the problem, but unfortunately it couldn't be done.
Leaving for the US + S.F. show just announced! - Feb 13, 2006
The packing is done! We are heading back to the states! Six lowlife degenerates here from the foggiest, snowiest and coldest Gothenburg are coming over the Atlantic to bring the metal! Touring with the ever amazing Opeth and the one and only Devin Townsend will be a rare treat for sure as well as Devildriver later on.
We have been plotting and scheming about our ever elusive setlist for some time and we believe we have something very special for you all, both for the support dates and especially for the headline shows! Can´t wait to bring you guys the full-on Dark Tranquillity experience. Be prepared!
/Mikael Stanne

www.sr.se/p3
For one week after the broadcast, the show can be accessed at:
Note that darktranquillity.com still is the place to go for the latest news and info. There's no time to keep the MySpace page constantly updated, so it's mainly there as a service to the tons of people using the community. Also, since there are some other D.T. MySpace pages out there that many seem to think are official but are in fact fan pages, we might as well put up one ourselves to avoid any confusion. So - welcome!
Dates are still being added to the upcoming U.S. tour, and these shows just got confirmed:
17 - Cain's Ballroom, Tulsa - OK
18 - Juanita's Cantina, Little Rock - AZ

New year, new adventures - Jan 02, 2006
Another year has ended, so it's time for some kind of wrap-up. 2005 has by far been the most hectic year in our history, with nearly 100 shows played in almost every corner of the world. Even though we're worn out and dirt poor, with livers screaming for mercy, we'll soldier on with more touring. The next installment of the "Character" crusade will be a five-week US trip as main support to OPETH, starting in mid-February. Watch this space for details.
Thanks to everyone that showed up at the Stockholm and Gothenburg shows a few days ago. We had a good time and enjoyed being able to play exclusive full-length sets in our home country for the first time in a while.
Renowned webzine Tartarean desire has awarded "Character" the following flattering positions in their 2005 summary:
Top albums released in 2005: 1. Dark Tranquillity - Character
Best death metal albums 2005: 1. Dark Tranquillity - Character
Best cover art 2005: 1. Dark Tranquillity - Character
Best songs 2005: 2. Dark Tranquillity - Through Smudged Lenses
Best male singer 2005: 2. Mikael Stanne
What more? The live photo and tattoo galleries have been updated, so feel free to have a look.
And last, a huge salute and best wishes for the new year to all of you that in some way have supported us during 2005.
Vivitur ingenio, caetera mortis erunt!

Back home from the European tour - Dec 23, 2005
Just got home from the European tour and would like to thank everyone that took part of it. Massive cheers to Hatesphere, Chimaira, the crew and of course to all of you that had the good taste of attending the shows.
Some live photos can be found at darkillity.net and photopit.com. After some well-needed rest and relaxation, we'll update this page with pics from various shows that people have mailed.
Tour starts tomorrow - Nov 27, 2005
Home for a few hours before it's time to catch the plane to the UK where the first show will take place tomorrow. If time and energy will allow, we might do some tour reports along the way, so watch this space for details.
Yesterday's gig in Växjö was a blast, with the crazy people in the front row tearing down the security barricades already during the 2nd song. Cheers to you all!
Well, hope to see as many of you as possible during the next month!
X-mas tickets online, Gran Canaria video uploaded - Nov 21, 2005
The tickets for the previously announced X-mas shows in Sweden are now available online via Ticnet. Click below to place your order before the events get sold out:
The European tour starts in a couple of days, and we're insanely busy with the final preparations. To show you what kind of crowd response we'd like to see, here is a clip of "The wonders at your feet" and half of "Zodijackyl light" from the show on Gran Canaria the 1st of October. The sound and picture quality isn't the best, so it's for die-hards only, but the atmosphere is present in spades:
Finally, we'd like to thank the audience and staff at the Motala Metal Fest for the great response last weekend!
Niklas publishes illustration book - Nov 13, 2005
As many of you know, I'm not only a criminally overrated guitarist but also a freelance graphic designer, having created artwork for bands like In flames, Arch enemy, Sentenced and so forth. During the years I've recieved lots of requests for some sort of book with my work, and now the time has come.
"Gadus morhua" features 132 pages of b/w drawings created between 1993 and 2005. These days, when everyone and his dog can toy around in Photoshop and create "artwork" by blending a few layers, it feels nice to release a collection of old fashioned pencil drawings, created directly in my sketchbook without any preparational work. Just spontaneous ink-on-paper.
Those who are interested can head over to cabinfevermedia.com for some previews as well as video clips that show the typical development process of a drawing. It usually starts with an eye...

All in all - a diverse set of quality acts that will leave you thrilled and begging for more. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at www.ticnet.se. More news on the Stockholm show on the 28th will follow in the near future.
On another note, it appears that our beloved record label Century media has a spankin' new website up and running, so check it out here.
UPDATE - Some back-end work has been done, and a couple of live photos have made their way to the media section. More will follow soon; thanks for your patience!
Brändström writes for Poker Magazine - Oct 24, 2005
Attention swedish fans!
As you all know, the game of poker has had a huge upswing the last years. Some of us in the band have picked up the habit, and nowadays we're always on the lookout for some card playing action during our travels around the globe.
In the light of this I have hustled myself a column in Sweden's Poker Magazine. I'll contribute regularly, telling you about our endeavours both as hard working metallers and as compulsive gamblers.
The first column, about the escapades at President Casino, Biloxi (since then completely destroyed by the hurricane Katrina), is printed in this month's issue which goes on sale tomorrow, so be sure to pick it up!
/Martin Brändström

In addition, we're confirmed for the Växjö Metal Festival, in Sweden on the 26th of November. More info on that one coming shortly.
Home from the Metal zone festival - Oct 3, 2005
It has been a truly hectic weekend, traveling for a total of 30 hours with six different flights to get to Gran canaria and play for one of the most amazing and devoted crowds ever - huge thanks to all 2500 of you. We had a great time and hope to come back as soon as possible.
Click here to see a video clip of the pre-gig preparations.
New European tour confirmed! - Sep 27, 2005
Between the 28th of November and the 21st of December, we'll be spreading the gospel throughout Europe with Chimaira and Hatesphere. The headlining slot will be switched between us and Chimaira depending on the country, but the playing time will be equal regardless of the position on the bill. In other words, it's a real co-headline tour (as opposed to certain other trips in the past that have been labeled as such for no apparant reason).
Here are the tentative dates. More shows and more info will be added soon, so this isn't the final list.
06.12 - PARIS, TRABENDO (F)
08.12 - ANTWERP, HOF TER LO (B)
09.12 - HAARLEM, PATRONAAT (NL)
10.12 - UTRECHT, TIVOLI (NL)
11.12 - BOCHUM, ZECHE (D)
12.12 - HAMBURG, KNUST (D)
13.12 - COLOGNE, LIVE MUSIC HALL (D)
14.12 - STUTTGART, DIE ROHRE (D)
16.12 - MILAN, LIVE MUSIC CLUB (ITA)
17.12 - CESENA, VIDIA (ITA)
18.12 - TREVISO, NEW AGE (ITA)
19.12 - LJUBLJANA, VPK MEDIAPARK (SLO)
20.12 - LINZ, POSTHOF (AUS)
21.12 - MUNICH, ELSER ZUSATZHALLE (D)
And - as usual - we're not in any way involved in the booking, so we can't answer any questions about where, when and why. As soon as we get to know something, we'll post it here for all to see. Thanks!
Swedish festival show + guitar endorsement - Sep 6, 2005
We're now confirmed for the Motala Metal Festival in Sweden on the 19th of November, preliminary in the headlining position.
Martin Henriksson is now also endorsed by J.Nunis guitars and his custom guitar is in the making. Check out their new homepage at www.jnunisguitars.com.
LAETHORA - new side project - Sep 2, 2005
That's right! A new band featuring Niklas is now officially unleashed unto the Interweb. To find out more, click the link below and assault your senses by downloading the mp3 preview from the upcoming "March of the parasite" album.
We're sorry to announce that due to several reasons beyond our control, we're not able to do the previously announced Arch enemy/Trivium tour in Sep/Oct. We were looking forward to the trip and examined all possible solutions, but at the end of the day we have no option but to cancel our participation. Apologies to the people that got their hopes up as well as to the Arch enemy camp.
Touring extravaganza! - Aug 16, 2005
The touring schedule for the autumn/winter is now starting to unfold. To begin with, we're happy to announce that we'll support fellow Swedes ARCH ENEMY on their European tour, together with TRIVIUM. These are the currently confirmed dates; it's great to see that there's a whopping five dates in the UK, a country that hasn't seen so much D.T. action in the past.
Sep. 26 - Manchester, UK @ Academy II
Sep. 27 - Cardiff, UK @ Coal Exchange
Sep. 28 - Wolverhampton, UK @ Wolfrun Hall
Sep. 29 - Glasgow, UK @ QMU
Sep. 30 - London, UK @ Forum

Oct. 03 - Haarlem, NET @ Patronat
Oct. 04 - Köln, GER @ Live Music Hall
Oct. 05 - Eindhoven, NET @ Effenaar
Oct. 06 - Stuttgart, GER Longhorn
Oct. 08 - Ternat, BEL @ Ternat Rock Festival
Oct. 10 - Hamburg, GER @ Markthalle
Oct. 11 - Berlin, GER @ Columbia Club
Furthermore, there are plans for a headline tour throughout Europe by the end of the year as well as a return to the U.S. as soon as possible. Watch this space for more info, and - as usual - please don't email us asking whether or not we'll be coming to your town/country, as we aren't involved with or have any insight into the booking process. As soon as something is confirmed, you'll read about it here.
Festival season soon over, GOM gig recorded - Aug 8, 2005
Only Summer breeze left, and then the most intense festival season in the history of the band is over. We're pleased to announce that the show at the Gates of metal festival in Hultsfred, Sweden was recorded by the Swedish national radio and will be broadcasted on their P3 LIVE show at some point in the future.
The upcoming autumn will hopefully mean more touring and mayhem, and the songwriting for the next album will soon commence.
US Merch update - July 30, 2005
To our American fans - please note that some of the new shirt designs are now available at JSR Direct.
"The new build" video online! - July 26, 2005
That's right, folks! This little live/backstage gem has already been shown on Headbangers ball in the States and is currently being aired on the usual channels. As previously reported, "The new build" was directed by Roger Johansson and features live footage shot in (among other cities) London, Barcelona, Paris and Gothenburg during the last European tour.
To see the clip on Century media's homepage in streaming Real video format, click here. To download it in Quicktime format (50 MB), click here.
Some minor site updates: The tattoo page is re-opened; check it out in the media section.
On a similar visual note (and since one is allowed one shameless self-plug per year), Niklas' design/illustration studio Cabin fever media recently got a revamped web site, so check it out here if interested.
We're currently doing our best to secure as much touring as possible for the autumn/winter and hope to be able to present some details in the near future. Until then, there are still some festivals left to infest - see you there!
Back home from Italy and Finland... - July 18, 2005
...where we had a great time performing at two very well organized and nice festivals. Big thanks to the staff at Evolution and Ilosaarirock, and everyone else that participated!
Sorry for not being able to stay around for autographs after the show at the Evolution festival, but we literally had to run from the stage to the van in order to catch the plane to Finland. We'll make up for it next time.
Evolution festival - important announcement - June 30, 2005
Those of you attending the Evolution festival in Italy on the 16th of July should note that we're onstage VERY early: 12:00-13:30. We were originally scheduled to play right before headliners Nightwish, but the fact that we're doing the Ilosaarirock festival in Finland the following day unfortunately means that moving the slot is the only solution (apart from cancelling one of the festivals, which naturally wasn't an option).
So - make sure to show up in time to make the first breakfast gig in D.T.'s history a special event!
Graspop and Fury fest last weekend went really well - thanks to all of you maniacs for the support!
Jewellery endorsement! - June 24, 2005
On a totally different topic, we're pleased to announce that we're now endorsed by Bonnie and Clyde jewellery, so head over to their homepage at www.bonnie-clyde.se and check their goods out!
Back from the S.A. trip - June 24, 2005
Yep, we've returned home after a very exciting and successful trip to South/Central america and would like to thank everyone involved; the promotors & agents, the excellent local support bands, the club owners, our touring crew and of course the extremely devoted audiences in Mexico, Venezuela, Costa Rica and Colombia. Michael Nicklasson extends a special thanks to Black line tattoo in San José for the new ink on this arm.
It has been a crazy ride, featuring our first ever night of playing two full live gigs in a row (Mexico City was subjected to nearly three hours of mayhem in total) as well as the less pleasurable experience of getting our sweaty faces sprayed with mace onstage at the gig in Maracay, Venezuela - but that's what happens when you strike the chords of chaos! All in all, it was a great adventure and we're really flattered by the awesome crowd response on all of the gigs. Thanks a lot to every single one of you!! Video footage from some of the shows will be posted here as soon as time permits.
While on the subject, we're sorry that some of the places that initially were planned for inclusion on the tour didn't make it to the end. We can assure you that we - the band members - didn't have anything to do with this, and that we're equally disappointed by not getting to visit Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Guatemala this time around. Like most other artists, we want to play everywhere, but it should be understood that the music business is very unpredictable and there are hundreds of possible reasons why changes sometimes occur to a touring schedule. The logistics are complex, and lots of different variables need to fall into place before an operation as big as bringing in a band, crew and equipment from the other side of the world can happen.
This is luckily obvious to most people, but since there are those who genuinely seem to think that a cancelled show means that the members of the band must hate the country, its inhabitans and everything it stands for (and who take it personally enough to whine about it in emails), it's worth pointing out that in 99% of all cases, the bands themselves have NOTHING to do with their tour schedules and eventual changes therein. If you think otherwise, you're seriously deluding yourself.
Rant aside, we definitely hope to be back as soon as possible and to be able to include more countries next time - let's keep our fingers crossed! In a few hours, we'll depart for this weekend's share of festivals - Graspop and Fury fest. See you there!
D.T. at Myspace? - June 23, 2005
Some people have been contacting us recently about the D.T. page at Myspace.com, wondering if it's authentic. Neither us or Century media was aware of its existance until recently, so it's probably set up by a fan.
While we appreciate the effort and think it's great that our band info and some music is available in such a big online community, it's worth noting that the D.T. members themselves aren't in any way involved in the Myspace page. Judging by the comments, a lot of the visitors aren't aware of this, so that's why we mention it here. Just to avoid confusion.
TWO shows in Mexico City! - June 8, 2005
Leaving for the South American tour in a few hours and just got informed that there will be two gigs on the same night (June 11) in Mexico City, due to the big ticket demand.
Both gigs are at the same venue, Hard rock live. The 1st one will start at 20:30 and the second at 22:30.
"The new build" screenshots are here! - May 30, 2005
Here are some teasers from the "The new build" video. As previously reported, it was shot by director Roger Johansson, who followed us on the European tour in Feb/March and gathered some live footage.
You'll all be able to see the full clip in the next few weeks. In the meantime, enjoy the pics below.
Metaltown festival, more info - May 16, 2005
The homepage for the Metaltown festival (Gothenburg, 30th of July) is now updated with more info. Have a look at www.metaltown.se.
Tour finished, video from Canada uploaded - May 11, 2005
We just got home from the highly successful US tour and would like to thank everyone that took part of it. Massive cheers to Soilwork, Hypocrisy and Mnemic as well as the hard-working crew for delivering the goods night after night - see you all soon! Both us and Century media are eager to bring us back to US soil as quickly as possible, so let's hope that things can be worked out.
In the meantime, enjoy this little video clip of our first ever song in Canada: "The treason wall", recorded in Quebec on the 3rd of May.
UPDATE: More news on the South America tour are popping up on a daily basis. We just recieved the names of some of the venues:
Monterrey, June 10: Cafe iguana
Mexico City, June 11: Hard rock live
Maracay, June 12: Concha Acustica
Bogota, June 19: Teatro Jorge Eliecer gaitan
Be aware that the band members aren't involved in the booking in any way, so there's no use emailing us asking for information. As soon as something is confirmed, we put it here on the website.
South America update + Metaltown festival - May 10, 2005
The following dates are now confirmed for the South American trek. Further countries will hopefully be added soon.
Friday, June 10 - Monterrey, Mexico
Saturday, June 11 - Mexico City, Mexico
Sunday, June 12 - Maracay, Venezuela
Tuesday, June 14 - San Juan, Puerto Rico
Sunday, June 19 - Bogota, Colombia
Also, we're now confirmed to play at the Metaltown festival in our hometown of Gothenburg on the July 30.
All hail Canada! - May 6, 2005
We just finished our three dates in Canada and would like to thank the AMAZING crowds in Montreal, Toronto and Quebec. We had been waiting for a long time to get over and play for you guys, and we were totally overwhelmed with the response we got. Can't wait to come back!
The tour is nearing its end now, and it has been a great ride for everyone involved. Tonight we're performing at the BW&BK festival in Cleveland, where we'll play an extended 60 minute set. After that, it's time for Detroit before heading back to Sweden to get some well-needed rest and showers.
New guitar for Niklas - April 27, 2005
Just got here to the Masquerade in Atlanta and was presented with an unbelievably cool Dark tranquillity axe, courtsey of J.Nunis custom guitars. More pics will be up in the near future, but this little baby plays like a monster! Huge thanks to Jim and Jason for making it happen - I'm truly impressed and can't wait to use it onstage tonight!
"The new build" video finished - April 26, 2005
We just got to see the final version of the "The new build" clip and are really pleased with how it all turned out. As previously reported, director Roger Johansson joined us for 5-6 dates of the European tour, filming the performances in London, Paris and Barcelona among others, and the end result is an intense and fast video giving a good impression of the D.T. live experience as well as showing some backstage antics.
The clip is being sent out to the usual stations as we speak, so you will all be able to see it soon.
Evolution festival confirmed - April 23, 2005
We can now confirm that we'll play at the Evolution festival in Italy on the 16th of July.
Further news: The Dutch fansite www.dark-tranquillity.nl has been updated with a new layout, so check it out.
Houston calling - April 20, 2005
The US tour is progressing very well so far - we really can tell that "Character" is making a mark in the States, and the crowd response is better than ever. All bands on the bill are delivering killer performances on stage, and the soberiety level is impressingly low. Huge thanks to everyone that have attended the shows and helped to make this such a success. Some live photos/videos are posted in the official D.T. forum.
Before the Anaheim gig a few days ago, we managed to spend some hours in Disneyland. Here is what it looked like:
U.S. - here we come! - April 3, 2005
Greetings minions! This morning we embark once again to the shores of America. We are all very excited about going on this scandinavian drunken crusade. See you all at the bar!
South American tour + further festival frenzy - April 1, 2005
Finally! We've been working for a South American tour for a long time and now we can officially confirm that we'll play in the following places. Exact dates are to be announced soon, but the tour will start on the 9th of June.
Mexico City, Mexico
Guatemala City, Guatemala
Bogota, Colombia
Santiago, Chile
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Sao Paulo, Brazil
Booking by matrix/empire entertainment.
No further info (support bands etc) is availabe at this point.
We're now confirmed for Sweden's Gates of metal festival, taking place on the 6th of August. This means that the current summer schedule looks something like this:
June 25 - Fury fest, France
June 26 - Graspop, Belgium
July 9 - Tivolirocken, Kristianstad, Sweden
July 28 - Storsjöyran, Östersund, Sweden
July 16/17 - Ilosaarirock, Finland
August 6 - Gates of metal, Sweden
August 18 - Summer breeze, Germany
New website design - March 30, 2005
As you can see, things look a bit differently in here. It's usually a major no-no to upload a new site before it's 100% finished, but the design has been ready for quite some time, so we figured that we might as well put it online before we embark on the US tour and gradually fill it with content. We have a new, very successful album out, so still having the "Damage done" design grace our digital home felt a bit lame.
So - I hope you like this and that you have patience with some sections being a bit on the empty side at the moment. Error reports and frustrated outbursts regarding the use of obsolete tags, complete disregard for CSS-based design and generally unsmooth coding can be directed to niklas [at] darktranquillity [dot] com.
General band info can also be found in the Encyclopaedia Metallum.
The old version of the homepage, with tons of content, can be viewed here.
More festival action! - March 5, 2005
Two Swedish festivals just confirmed:
July 9 - Tivolirocken, Kristianstad
July 28 - Storsjöyran, Östersund
And, as previously reported, we'll appear here as well:
June 25 - Fury fest, France
June 26 - Graspop, Belgium
July 16/17 - Ilosaarirock, Finland
August 18 - Summer breeze, Germany
A new version of the website is in progress, but we've made a slight facelift to this incarnation in the meantime. Things may be looking a bit weird on some pages, but you're used to that, right?
New endorsement deal - March 15, 2005
We're proud to announce that Henriksson, Sundin and Nicklasson now are endorsed by Seymour duncan. We've been using their pickups for years, and obviously it feels very flattering to be added to their impressive roster of top musicians.
"Character" re-appearing in the charts- March 10, 2005
Seems like the recent Swedish gigs got us some new fans, as "Character" now is back in the national chart at position #37. In the metal chart, the album is enjoying its seventh week, currently residing at #5.
European tour finished - thanks, people! - March 07, 2005
Hi people,
we've just finished the last gig of the Kreator / Ektomorf / Hatesphere tour and would like to send a warm "thank you!" to everyone involved; our new friends in the bands, the crew and of course everyone that attended the shows. This was one of the most successful tours we've ever had the pleasure of doing, and rest assured that we'll be back on the European stages in the near future.
For those of you that couldn't come to the shows, here's some firsthand information on what you missed out on. Since all kinds of info has been floating around on the internet regarding playing time, setlists etc, it's best to set the record straight. We played for 45 minutes, with the
exception of the gigs in Sweden that were extended to 55 minutes. The following songs were played at some point during the tour (alternating every night):
The treason well
Lost to apahty
Through smudged lenses
One thought
White noise / black silence
The new build
The wonders at your feet
Scythe, rage and roses
Punish my heaven
My negation
The endless feed
Of chaos and eternal night
Final resistance
As previously reported, we have a new video in the works. Director Roger Johansson followed us for some days on the tour, recording the mayhem and frenzy of the shows in London, Barcelona and Paris among others, and the result will be a crushing promo clip for "The new build". More info will follow in the near future.
More news - the "Lost to apathy" video can now be seen online here. As usual, we recommend using Real alternative instead of the standard Real player.
Well, that's all for now. We'll be taking some well-deserved rest in order to be in top shape for the US tour with Soilwork, Hypocrisy and Mnemic, which will start in less than a month. See you there!
As usual, big thanks to Gtranquillity / www.dark-tranquillity.nl
for compiling the list.
Newsflash / 2004-11-29
We just found out that "Lost to apathy" entered
the Swedish single chart at position #47! We didn't expect
to hit the charts with a fast-paced thrash fest with screaming
vocals, so this is definately good news.
Newsflash / 2004-11-29
Earlier this year, we announced the following:
Both "The gallery" (1995) and "The
mind's I" (1997) will be re-released in special remastered
deluxe editions, featuring brand new booklet layouts as well
as a massive dose of hard-to-find bonus material.
During the years, we've been all too aware of
the lack of availability of our earlier material in the US,
and we've heard from a lot of people about how hard and frustrating
it is to have to track down expensive import versions of the
older albums in order to get the D.T. collections complete.
We got so much positive response from old and new fans when
Century media licenced the "Skydancer" (1993) album
for the US territory a couple of years ago, so it feels great
to finally have "The gallery" and "The mind's
I" enjoying proper stateside distribution as well.
For various reasons, these projects were postponed
for a while, but we just heard from the labels involved that
the albums will see the light of day early next year. The
exact release dates will follow as soon as they're confirmed.
In the meantime, here are the full tracklists including the
bonus material:
THE GALLERY:
1. Punish my heaven
2. Silence, and the firmament withdrew
3. Edenspring
4. The dividing line
5. The gallery
6. The one brooding warning
7. Midway through infinity
8. Lethe
9. The emptiness from which I fed
10. Mine is the grandeur...
11. ...of melancholy burning
12. Bringer Of Torture (Kreator cover)
13. Sacred Reich (Sacred Reich cover)
14. 22 Acacia Avenue (Iron maiden cover)
15. Lady In Black (Mercyful fate cover)
16. My Friend Of Misery (Metallica cover)

Important news for everyone planning to attend the Swedish
gigs on the tour. Tickets are now available and can be purchased
at www.ticnet.se (phone: 077-1707070).
The Göteborg venue in particular is pretty
small for a package like this (feat. the mighty KREATOR),
so we recommend everyone to get their tickets as quickly as
possible in order to avoid disappointments.

Here we go - an official announcement regarding the label
situation:
We are exceptionally satisfied to announce that
we've chosen to continue our cooperation with Century Media
for another three albums. After lengthy negotiations with
several prolific labels, the dotted line was finally signed
and we have full confidence that we've made the right choice
and that there are some excellent years ahead - both for us
and for C.M. As some of you know, the new CD is already recorded
and mixed, and the response for the live previews of the song
"One Thought" has been truly great throughout the
summer festivals, so we're eagerly anticipating the release
of the album.
As you can see from the splash screen on this
site, said album is entitled "CHARACTER" and will
see the light of day on January 24 (Europe) / January 25 (USA).
We're certain that your already high expectations will be
met and surpassed, and the advance buzz from people fortunate
enough to have listened to the album is nothing but outstanding.

and some preview images will be posted here soon.
Newsflash / 2004-09-06
Some bad news - we just recieved information that the Metal
monster festival, on the 9th of October in Istanbul, was cancelled
by the promoter earlier today. We're very disappointed by
this and want to make it clear that the cancellation was the
decision of the festival organizers and not the bands involved.
We were very much looking forward to playing in Turkey again
for the first time since 2001, and hopefully we can schedule
a new gig a.s.a.p.
On a brighter note, the video clip for "Lost
to apathy" is progressing very nicely. Have a look at
some photos from yesterday's shoot here.
Newsflash / 2004-09-01
The band has began working with director Roger Johansson on
a video clip for the song "Lost to apathy", which
will be the first single from the upcoming album. While it's
too early to reveal any details, the end result promises to
be a very different and unique piece of mayhem.
On the the live front, a gig in Istanbul is now
confirmed for the 9th of October.
For those of you hungry for some D.T. swag, please
note that some of the shirt designs sold on the summer festivals
now are available from www.art-worx.de. Tip: Check both under
"Dark tranquillity" and "Dark tranquility".
Some minor site updates have also taken place;
mainly a couple of new live photos and a tattoo credit correction.

We're proud to announce that bassist Michael Nicklasson now
is officially endorsed by the music business' finest: Warwick!

in the future. Thanks to Geir at Flaa music for making it
happen.

We just returned home from a splendid trip to Korea and would
like to thank everyone that made it possible for us to play
as headliners in front of 12 000 people at the Busan International
Rock Festival. Performing our blasting metal in the idyllic
setting of the Dadaepo beach with fireworks constantly blazing
is something that we'll remember as one of the most unique
gig experiences in our career.
We were truly stunned by the huge amount of appreciation
we got, both at the festival itself and at the "secret"
club gig in Seoul.
A detailed tour report will be available here
in a not-too-distant future. In the meantime, feel free to
watch some live photos, courtesy of the festival, here.

Korea, here we come! It just got confirmed that we'll play
at the Busan rock festival on the 7-9th of August. The exact
date will be announced shortly.
We're recieving lots of emails from people wondering
about the status of the new album, so it's probably time to
let you in on some of the news. The recording and mixing of
the as-yet-untitled magnum opus is finished, and we'll soon
begin work on the mastering. As we're currently in label negotiations
with some of the most interesting players out there, it's
too early to know any details concerning the release date
and so forth, but rest assured that we'll do our best to make
the album available to you as soon as possible.
A bit late, but nevertheless: "Exposures.."
made an appearance on the national Swedish chart and reached
#85 a mere two days after it was released. No mean feat for
a metal compilation album!
What more? Some new tattoo photos and tabs have
been added to the site and a couple of other minor updates
have been made.

Cheers!
Just wanted to stop by and give you guys an update
on what´s going on in the studio:
We are nearing the completion of this our seventh
album. Anders has been true to form and blasted his way through
the songs with surgical precision as usual. Michael laid down
some bass devastation the other day with furious gut-deforming
lows and ear-denying highs as a result.
Martin and Niklas have shredded above and beyond the call
of duty once more with the rhythm guitars and are ready to
further cast their spells in the form of leads and solos this
week. Martin B is at the moment locked away at an undisclosed
location brewing up potions of electronic wizardry, soon to
be combined into a most volatile mix of metal.
Myself, I have been shackled in the vocal booth
for most of this week and I will remain there for a few more
days.
We couldn´t be more satisfied with the way things are
going and cannot wait to inflict our pain onto others.
Things are looking dark, and we love it.

"Exposures - In Retrospect And Denial":
Dark Tranquillity celebrates its 15th birthday
by releasing a double CD featuring rare and previously unreleased
material.
For many years, we've received lots of questions
regarding the possibility of our pre-album material ever being
released on CD, and we're very happy to provide old and new
fans that are interested in the first chapter of our history
with a viable alternative to forking out a small fortune on
Ebay for a worn-out original copy of the demo or 7" EP.
After a lot of digging though the vaults, the
original DAT tapes for our "Trail Of Life Decayed"
demo (1991) and "A Moonclad Reflection" EP (1992)
were found, and we could happily note that they were intact
and had survived the ten years in limbo remarkably well. With
the help of some carefully executed mastering magic, the sound
quality has been boosted a great deal.
In addition, we have the pleasure of including
a couple of songs that were recorded during the studio sessions
for our last three albums. Some of these tracks, like "Exposure"
and "Cornered", have until now only been available
on limited edition versions of the albums, while some others,
like "Static", "No One" and "In Sight",
are previously unheard by anyone outside the immediate band
circle.
As a special treat, we're also including a second
disc with more than 70 minutes of live songs (the audio portion
of the recently released "Live Damage" DVD. Enjoy!
"Exposures..." comes packaged with
an extensive 20-page booklet filled to the rim with exclusive
photos from all stages of the band's career as well as liner
notes from noted music journalist Chris Dick (www.digitalmetal.com),
a initiated long-time observer of the scene.
The release date for "Exposures…"
will be May 31st via Century Media Records in Europe and the
2-CD will be released for the fair deal of a Single-Disc price.
Further international release dates will be announced shortly!

Next week, we’ll embark to the familiar quarters of
Studio Fredman to begin the recording of our seventh, as-yet-untitled,
full length album. We’re been working extremely hard
with the material and feel that the result will be a diverse
and exciting offering that will leave most of our current
fans more than satisfied. Of course, this is what all bands
say, so you’ll have to wait a couple of months until
you’re able to hear for yourselves. No release date
is set yet, but it’s realistic to assume that the CD
will be out either shortly before or shortly after the summer.
As mentioned, no album title has been decided
yet, but some tentative song titles are “One thought”
(previewed on our recent Italian tour), “Lost to apathy”
and "Mind matters".

Time for some new-year activity on the site. As you probably
have noticed, updates have been somewhat scarce recently,
but rest assured that we're not resting on our laurels. The
songwriting for the next album is commencing with full force,
and in a not-too-distant future we'll begin recording our
seventh full length album. More details regarding where, when
and why will be posted here soon.
The DVD is now available in the US as well -
finally! For a list of (worldwide) online vendors selling
it, please visit Gtranquillity's site at www.dark-tranquillity.nl.
For an upcoming project, we'd like to hear from
people with Dark tranquillity tattoos, so if you're one of
the lucky few, please get in touch via hq@darktranquillity.com.
The mini tour in Italy about a month ago was
a huge success, and we'd like to thank all of you that made
it such a great experience. Photos from some of the shows
will be uploaded in the near future.
Other than this, there are a few promising things,
that doubtlessly will make many of you happy, in the pipeline,
but before anything is 100% confirmed, we can't go public
with any details.

The European version of the DVD will be released in a couple
of days. No news about the US release date yet, but we're
happy to inform that the European version is region-free (code
0), so it will perform correctly on any DVD player.
In other words, non-Euro residents can safely
pre-order the DVD or get it on import if they don't feel like
waiting for the USA-pressed version.

Less than a month left to the DVD release, so it's preview

can now be downloaded from Century media's video section here.
Enjoy!

Michael Nicklasson's other band, LUCIFERION, will release
their long-awaited 2nd album on Listenable records this September.
Their debut CD, "Demonication", was released already

Some news on the "Live damage" DVD: We have now
seen a beta copy of it and are pleased to inform that the
final result has surpassed all expectations. Everything looks

Some new content has been added to the live photo

that still hasn't been uploaded; things have been very busy
here lately, and everything will be taken care of as soon
as time permits.
No definite news on the DVD issue yet, but it
seems likely that some additional live footage from the "Damage
done" touring will be added to the already confirmed
Krakow recording. The title will be changed to "Live
damage" to reflect this.
Regarding touring, the information circulating

are confirmed.

We are extremely sorry to have to announce the frustrating
fact that the upcoming gigs in Mexico and Colombia are cancelled,
due to the inability of the local promotor to live up to his
part of the agreement. At this point, we don't know all the
details, but our management has been working day and night
during the last week trying to get some kind of confirmation
from the promotor that the most essential and basic parts
of the arrangement, such as the booking of the airplane tickets,
had been taken care of.
After a lot of uncertainty and an increasing
sense of suspicion that the necessary organizational measures
weren't taken, everything eventually seemed to be resolved,
but last night - just a few hours before our planned departure
from Gothenburg - we got the definite news from our management
that the flight arrangements were severely insufficient and
that the promotor had backed out of the deal, admitting that
things hadn't been properly taken care of from the beginning
and that it now was too late to repair the damage.
We deeply apologize to our Mexican and Colombian
fans and friends, and we hope that you understand that the
cancellation is in no way due to the band. This is a disaster
for us. We had a fantastic time during our "Haven"
dates in Mexico, and had the pleasure to meet some of the
most devoted and enthusiastic fans we've ever seen, and it
feels truly devastating to have to stay at home with packed
bags and all preparations made because of matters that are
out of our hands.
We'll do our outmost to be able to schedule new
dates in the near future.
Respectfully,
D.T.

See you all as soon as humanly possible!
As you can see, the U.S. tour with Nile, Napalm
death, Strapping young lad and the The berzerker is now confirmed.
In addition, we'll do the following South American dates:
Jan 10: Monterrey - City escena music hall
Jan 11: Mexico city - Salon 21
Jan 14: La farra del norte - Bogota, Colombia

looking forward to seeing you all on the shows. Some quick
info:
A server change for this site will take place

probably, everything will run smoothly and you won't notice

a number of upcoming gigs.
On the 7th of October, we'll be playing in Warsaw,
Poland, and the gig will be professionally recorded for possible
release as a live DVD. A warm-up gig at another location in
Poland will probably take place on the 5th. More info on this

Two gigs in Greece (w/ Candlemass and Entombed)
are booked as well:
19/10: Thessaloniki - club Hydrogios
20/10: Athens - club Gagarin 205

An interview with Mikael Stanne was featured on the P3 Rock
radio channel last thursday. For a few days, it's still possible
to listen to the show via Real Player. The same station (which
is the biggest in Sweden) also aired an interview on the Musikjournalen
show, which of course is available online as well. Furthermore,
check out Musiklandet for another Swedish-tounged feature.
Video praise: The Greek Metal hammer TV show
recently selected the "Monochromatic stains" clip
as the best video of the year and played it on their last
show of the season. Way to go, Achilleas!

Good news - we're making our first chart appearances. "Damage
done" entered #1 in the Swedish metal charts and #29
in the regular charts (a very rare feat for a band of our
style). In Germany, things are taking off too. Here's Century
media's statement:
Finally the hard-working Swedes have reached
another milestone. Debuting at position 83 on the German Media
Control Charts (the top 100 sales charts for all of Germany)
means another highlight in the already-great career of the
band. (...). It's not often a band works so deliberately and
persistantly to create the perfect sound. This success is
well-earned, our hats go off to the band and to the fans who
support them!
Massive thanks to all you people who have forked
out your hard-earned cash for our album!
Newsflash / 2002-07-24
IMPORTANT!!!
As some of you have noticed, some copies of the
new album feature the added annoyance of track 1 and 11 ending
a couple of seconds too early. We (and Century media too,
for that matter) are as frustrated and annoyed by this as
those of you who've been unfortunate enough to buy one of
the faulty copies.
Century media offer to replace damaged albums
- more info in their official statement below:
Regretfully we discovered and must announce that
a number of the new Dark Tranquillity CD, "Damage Done",
were discovered to be contain a minor defect on the audio
portion of the discs. If you happened to receive a defective
disc, please send an e-mail to the following address: service@centurymedia.de
You will get a return mail containing further details.
If, however, you are not able to play the CD-ROM
portion of the album (the video track for "Monochromatic
Stains"), this does not mean you have a defective CD.
All the samples we checked had fully-functioning video enhancements,
but the problem is most likely either incompatible system
requirements, or (most often) that you need to install or
update your version of Quicktime media player to version 5.0
or higher. To download Quicktime or upgrade your old version,
visit this link:

The new version of the site is under construction, and therefore
we urge anyone with useful material (live photos, winamp skins,

the past that never made it to the page, please re-send if

The fast-and-furious album opener "Final resistance"
will be included on the "In the eyes of death vol. 3"
compilation album, which will be out on the 23th of August
on Century media records..
020304
An important note: We've recently gotten some
emails from people who have bought "The gallery"
or "The mind's I" and found that they can't play
the album on their computers. Apparantly, Osmose productions
began using a copy protection system on all their pressings
in February last year, rendering the albums unreadable on
PC's or Macs. This is, apparantly, not mentioned anywhere
on the albums themselves, so we advise anyone that uses a
computer or portable MP3 player to listen to their albums
to double-check if it's a new or old pressing before purchasing.
020303
Things are going great in the studio and some
photos can be seen by clicking here. More information on the
new little baby will follow shortly.
020205
Tomorrow we'll start recording the next magnum
opus, and we're very enthusiastic about the material. As a
special goodie before we lock ourselves up in the studio,
we've added a Real video clip (courtsey of our regular contributor
Volkan Demiröz, thanks a lot!) of two songs from the
Istanbul gig last autumn. A very intimate and crazy show,
as can be seen on the video:

Martin Brändström will be playing keyboards
for Tiamat on their upcoming European tour, which will take
place in March/April. Some dates are already available at

A bit late but nevertheless: Massive "happy
new year" salutations from us to you.
News from 2001
011220
Things have been pretty quiet on the news-front
for a while, the reason being that there haven't been that
much to tell apart from the fact that we're extremely busy
working on the new album. The material is taking shape at
a steady pace, and as things look now it will be a very diverse
offering featuring musical traces from all stages of our 12
year career as well as a host of new influences.
The album is still untitled, but some preliminary
song titles include "Cathode ray sunshine", "Static",
"The poison well" and "Format c: for cortex".
An experimental video clip for the song "Monochromatic
stains" is also under progress, made by the Greek multimedia
artist Achilleas Gatsopoulos.
More news will follow in the near future. We
haven't got any information on the release date yet, but since
we'll be finished in the studio in March, it's a fair bet
that the album will be out in May/June.
Related news (not so recent by not mentioned
here earlier) is that my (Niklas) illustration studio finally
has a webpage up:

We've been looking for a good alternative to
the ad-infected Ezboard forum for a while now, and the good
news is that the folks at ultimatemetal.com have offered to
help us out. They're currently hosting message boards for
the official Opeth, Katatonia and Nevermore sites (among others),
and they're providing a board pretty similar to the old one
in style and structure, but free from ads and with lots of
new features. They have a good community going, so the move
will hopefully fill your every need in communicating with
other metalheads.
Naturally, you'll have to register to begin posting,
but I hope that you don't mind too much spending a few minutes
with that since the benefits of the new board are so many.
The old board will be closed in a couple of days.
The new one can be reached through the menu on the left or

Just back from Istanbul and one of our most amazing

involved - the fantastic organizers for having taken care
of us in the best possible way and treating us to the best
kebabs in the world, the fans for their total dedication and
overwhelming response, our soundmanager and caretaker Pit
and last, but definately not least, our session drummer Robin
for doing a phenomenal job in learning ten of our songs in
just two days.
Some photos, courtsey of Mustafa Gülüt,
can be found here. If anyone else has any pictures, please
mail them to us at hq@darktranquillity.com. We're also looking
for a video tape copy of the gig, so if someone is willing
to help us out, just get in touch.
Changing subject a bit - just stumbled into this
Ebay auction that features our old "Trail..." demo
as well as dozens of others rare swedish metal demos:
Some bad news: Yesterday, Anders Jivarp injured
his wrist and unfortunately won't be able to play the scheduled
gig in Istanbul this Saturday. Instead of cancelling the show,
we've recruited Robin Engström (Lefay), who luckily was
willing to fill in on session drums on such short notice.
We're currently rehearsing heavily in order to get everything
prepared as well as possible.
010907
We'll be featured on the "Tenth Anniversary
Box Set Collection", which - as the title suggests -
is a upcoming Century Media release to celebrate their 10
years in business. There will be three discs all in all, and
we'll be on two of them. The "Eastern Hemisphere"
CD will include "The wonders at your feet" and the
"Rare & Unreleased" CD will feature "Exposure".
Release date: The 28th of September.
010903
A new section for D.T. songs performed by other
bands is now up in the "medial stimuli" section.
Right now, there are only two bands featured, but we know
that there are more. If you know a band with a D.T. cover
available in .mp3-format, please get in touch.
010902
A D.T. screensaver for Windows, made by Volkan
Demiröz, is now available for download in the "medial
stimuli" section.
010829
The band will enter Studio Fredman on the 6th
of February 2002 to record their 6th, as yet untitled, full
length album. More news will follow shortly.
010825
The D.T. mailing list has been moved. The company
that hosted it, Listbot, ceased their services, and the newsletter
is now moved to Topica instead. Those who subscribed to the
old list should have recieved an invitation message to join
the new one if the transfer has gone well. If that's not the
case, you can visit the following page to subscribe to the
new list:
http://www.topica.com/lists/darktranquillity
New members are of course very welcome too...
010824
Some more details on the Istanbul show: The gig
will take place in the Sold Out Concert Hall (previously called
Casablanca). Doors open at 16:00, and local support bands
are Dishearten and Affliction. In addition, there will be
a signing session on the 5th of October at 13:00 in Köstebek
Music (located in the "Aznavur Pasajý").
010822
Martin Brändström will be playing session
keyboards for Lucyfire (the hugely successful gothrock side
project of Tiamat vocalist Johan Edlund) on their 1st ever
live show, which will take place on the Mera Luna festival
in Hannover, Germany, on the 1st of September.
010821
On the 13th of September, the live recording
from the Popstad gig in Gothenburg last spring will be broadcasted
again on the swedish radio station P3. More news regarding
time of airing will follow shortly.
010814
Some minor facelifts made to the intro page.
New live photos, from Wacken, Hell on earth and some other
gigs, added to the medial stimuli page. More will follow soon.
010809
Some photos from Wacken, taken by Serge of Amethyst,
can be found by clicking on the following link - don't forget
to check his band out as well.

Huge thanks to the fantastic 15000+ crowd who
made our gig at the Wacken festival one of our best live experiences
ever. We were a bit worried that the early showtime would
mean a sparse and tired audience, but we were - of course
- dead wrong. The gig was actually supposed to be filmed and
probably released as a live video/DVD and CD later this year.
However, due to schedule changes, the camera crew (who filmed
most of the other bands performing on the main stage) were
on a lunch break (!) during our show, so nothing was recorded
- things like this only happen to D.T.... :-/
010802
Our first ever gig in Turkey is now booked. We're
set to play in Istanbul on 6th of October - more news on this
will follow in the near future.
010727
Huge thanks to the faithful few who stayed for
our gig at the H.O.E. festival last week. Loads of photos
from the event can be found here.
010703
More metal to the masses! On the 23rd of July,
Mikael and Niklas will appear on the national swedish radio
(P3) show "Musikjournalen", broadcasting their personal
choise of bands past and present that have influenced D.T.
It'll take place between 17:00 - 18:00. Don't miss it!
For more info on the "Hell on earth"
festival in Austria later this month, check their official
homepage:
http://www.h-o-e.org
Lots of people are mailing asking for info on
the next album. As soon as there are any news (album title,
recording date, choise of studio, general direction etc etc),
we'll let you know via the homepage. Right now it's too early
to know much about the outcome of the album, so please be
patient. In the meantime, check out the Digital Metal feature
from last week:

There's a new Mexican D.T. page available on
ye olde WWW. Check it out now at:
http://dtmexico.cjb.net
010615
D.T. will play on the Hell on earth festival
in Austria on the 15th of July. We don't have any more info
on this event at the moment.
010612
For the trivia freaks among you, we've added
a complete list of all D.T. gigs ever made. Click here to
view.
010611
Gig cancellation - We just got confirmed that
the Dist festival that was scheduled to take place in Forshaga,
Sweden, during the 21st and 22nd of July is cancelled due
to lame ticket sales.
010530
Minor site update: Added some recent compilation
albums to the discography page.
We're in the process of compiling a FAQ for this
page, so send your questions to:
hq@darktranquillity.com
Please write "FAQ" in the subject line
of your mail.

Two songs, "Midwinter/Beyond enlightenment"
and "Vernal awakening", from our 1991 demo "Trail
of life decayed" are now added to the D.T. page at mp3.com:
www.mp3.com/darktranquillity
Two new Winamp skins by mr. Demiroz added to
the medial stimuli section; check them out!
A note to our Japanese fans: It's now possible
to order D.T. shirts online in your own currency from MegaRock.
Visit their site and see what they have to offer. The page
will also feature the latest D.T. news translated into Japanese.
We're busy writing material for the next album,
but will play at the 2000 Decibel festival in Bengtsfors,
Sweden this Saturday (19/5). See you there!
010501
Mini update: added some photos from the Japan
trip to the medial stimuli section.
010415
We just got back from our 4-date mini tour in
Japan and would like to send a big thanks to all the people
that showed up on the gigs and everybody else involved with
the arrangements. Hope to see you again soon! For a change,
we actually managed to shoot some photos during the trip,
so there will be some goodies up in the near future.
010326
No updates for a while, but nothing spectacular
has happened in the D.T. camp recently...We're busy writing
material for the next album and things are progressing fine.
Some recently confirmed live shows:
May 19 - Decibel festival, Bengtsfors, Sweden
July 21-22 - Dist festival, Forshaga, Sweden
August 3 - Wacken open air, Germany
Some more gigs are in the pipeline - stay tuned
for more details. The medial stimuli section will soon be
updated with more of the live photos you've so kindly mailed
to us. In the meantime, enjoy this D.T. desktop theme, created

We just got an offer to play tomorrow (!) at
the Younomia festival in Skövde, Sweden. Some other band
apparantly cancelled in the very last minute, so the organizers
asked us instead. So, if you happen to live somewhere nearby,
feel free to come by. We'll start play at around 23:00.
More info on the upcoming gig in Portugal. It's
a two day-festival called Seixal Attack 2001 (no, not Sexual
Attack...). Seixal is the name of the reportedly very beautiful
village where the event takes place, and it's located near
Lisboa. Other bands that will appear on the bill include Nevermore,
Soilwork and Annihilator.
We've had our most bizarre TV appearance so far.
The daily national program "Kulturnyheterna" (the
cultural news) ran a feature on the decaying state of new
musical talent in Gothenburg. To illustrate this, they needed
some live footage with an "established" band and
shot some clips on our Popstad gig last thursday :-)
For those without anything better to do, there's
a Real video clip available on the shows' homepage. It lasts
for ten minutes, and we're featured somewhere in the middle...just
for 25-30 seconds, but I guess it's still interesting for
those who couldn't attend the gig. Anyway. it's fun to have
our live show displayed on the national TV channel, even if
the context is sort of weird.
The clip will be up for another week or something.
010211
Thanks to all the supportive people that showed
up on the gig last Thursday. Some photos are already up at
Swedish metal for those who are interested:

The response to our mp3.com-page has been excellent.
A new gem is up now, in the shape of the 1991 demo song "Void
of tranquillity". Go get it!

010207
Don't miss the radio/www-broadcasted gig tomorrow
(see previous post)!
We've just added a D.T.-page to www.mp3.com,
namely:
www.mp3.com/darktranquillity.
Plans are to collect both album songs as well
as rare recordings, and the major advantage is that the mp3's
are available both for download as well as Hi-fi/Lo-fi streaming.
Maximum convenience for everybody.
Right now, there are a couple of blasts from
the past; soundfiles that were available on the official D.T.
page back in '97 or something, but disappeared along the way,
including a 1994 demo version of "Punish my heaven".
010201
The page is now up again after the transfer to
the new server. Thanks for your patience. And yes, the new
version _is_ on its way, but it'll take some more time before
everything is ready. Meanwhile, there are a few updates on
the page including new Winamp skins.
We'd like to thank everybody that showed up on
our gigs in Athens last weekend for their support and fantastic
response. We hope to be back in Greece as soon as possible!
Don't miss the gig at Kåren, Gothenburg
on Thursday next week (8/2). Even if you can't attend physically,
you can still listen to the gig in the comfort of your own
home since it's all broadcasted on internet as well as on
Swedish radio station P3. Just follow this link and click
on the radio-icon on the lower left (you can't miss it) to
hear the streaming broadcast.

Here is the schedule in CET (Central european
time):
Evergrey - 19:00
Transport league - 20:30
Dark Tranquillity - 21:30
In Flames - 22:45
More news - we have a gig in Portugal on the
1st of March. That's about everything we know about it at
the moment. More info on that as soon as possible.
Lots of people have mailed and asked about the
carichature (below). It's made by the excellent Greek artist
Achilleas Gatsopoulos, who also has made some fantastic individual
portraits that will be displayed here soon. Do yourself a
favour and visit his homepage here:

News from 2000
001228
The gigs in Athens, Greece, will take place at
the Woodstock club on the 27th and 28th of January (yes, it's
two gigs at the same place)
We now have a string of gigs in Japan confirmed,
with Children of Bodom as co-headliners:
06.04. Osaka, Japan, Heat Beat
08.04. Nagoya, Japan, Bottom Line
09.04. Tokyo, Japan, On Air East
10.04. Tokyo, Japan, On Air East
Swedish TV station TV2 recently did a feature
on us, featuring some rehearsal room footage and a short interview.
So far, it has been broadcasted on national TV a couple of
times.
001217
It seems very likely that we'll finally get to
play in Greece! Two gigs in Athens with The Haunted are being
planned for the 27-28th of January. More info will follow
soon. We'll also play at Kåren, Gothenburg on February
8 together with Evergrey, Transport League and In Flames.
For those who can't be on location, the whole event will be
broadcasted live(!) on Swedish radio (P3).
001203
Updates: Added some livepics from the Y2K European
tour to the medial stimuli section. More photos will be uploaded
soon.
The limited edition picture LP version of "Haven"
is now available from Century media. Note that there won't
be a regular (black) vinyl version printed.
The "In the eyes of death vol. II"
compilation CD is now out, also from Century media, and should
be available at a bargain prize from the usual outlets.
Apart from this, we're busy writing new songs
for the next album. It's all at a very early stage, and it's
impossible to predict how the material will end up sounding
when everything is finished, but we'll keep you posted.
001109
Added a video clip (Real Media) of "Punish
my heaven", taken from the "World domination"
live video '97, to the medial stimuli section. Unfortunately,
I can't get the streaming to work quite yet due to the crap
server (we'll change in the near future), so the file must
be downloaded.
001107
Quick update: Added a "Trail..." Winamp
skin to the medial stimuli section. Thanks to everybody who
have sent in live photos from the European tour - they'll
be up in a day or two.
001102
We just came back from a splendid week in Mexico
and would like to thank all the great people that we met during
our stay. Hope to see you soon again!
Some fresh news: Century media will release a
limited edition picture LP of "Haven" within a month
or two. More details when it's available.
The elusive song "Exposure", which
was originally planned to be a bonus track for the "Projector"
digipack but only ended up on a few copies, will be featured
on the "In The Eyes Of Death 2" compilation CD,
released in late November by Century media.
001024
Here we go again...We just got the news that
the gig in Monterey, Mexico this friday is cancelled! We have
no idea why at this point. Note that the other gigs in Mexico
City and Guadalajara WILL happen. We're doing final rehearsal
today and will fly to Mexico tomorrow - see you there!
001024
Just to clarify one thing - some people have
misinterpreted the statement below, thinking that Century
Media is to blame for the cancellation and that they therefore
suck major dick and don't give a fuck about their bands. This
is way out of the line. Truth is that they actually offered
to pay us far more money in tour support than what they're
contractually obliged to do - so they did their very best
to get us on that tour and they are as disappointed as everyone
else that we couldn't make it this time.
The main thing is that it's extremely expensive
to bring a Euro band over for their first tour in the states,
and in some cases the figures just don't add up.
Just wanted to set the record straight on this,
since the reason for the statement in the first place was
to avoid speculations and rumours, not to give birth to new
ones...
001022
Some really sad news - we can't tour the US this
fall as planned. Please read the following to find out why:
TO OUR U.S. FANS,
First of all, we know that some of you will be
really disappointed upon learning about the cancellation,
and we can assure you that we're every bit as sorry ourselves.
In order to avoid any rumors or speculations,
we've decided to make this official statement explaning the
factual reasons for not embarking on the tour.
After having tried everything to negotiate as
good conditions as possible, our management made the calculation
that even with maximum tour support from our label, we still
would be roughly 10 000 USD short of covering the fixed expenses
(flight costs, our part of the bus rent, crew wages etc) of
the tour. In other words, we would have to pay 10 000 USD
from our own pockets just in order to be able to participate
on the tour - and we simply don't have that kind of money.
As you understand, this isn't a case of skipping
the tour because of not earning any big bucks on it, but rather
a case of not being able to be away from our day jobs for
a month while having to pay a fortune in the process. Contrary
to what many people think, bands aren't earning much money
- if any at all - from touring, unless they're headlining.
Also, our drummer Anders just became a father
and has the best reasons in the world to stay at home for
a while. Robin from LEFAY kindly agreed to play session drums
on the tour, and we had already began working when the sad
news of the financial realities reached us. Sorry, Robin.
Instead of touring, we're now starting to work
on our 6th album instead. We still hope and think that we'll
be able to play in the states in the near future, and hopefully
all of our American fans realise that we are skipping this
tour not because of laziness or lack of interest in touring
the US, but because we have no other choise. We've been looking
forward to play in the states for several years, and it's
extremely unfortunate that it couldn't be done this time.
Respectfully,
the D.T. members.
001016
Thanks to everybody who showed up on the European
tour for their support! We continue our crusade by finally
announcing some gigs in Mexico. There has been lots of confusion
since the dates have been changed several times, but now we
have the following gigs confirmed:
October 27 - Monterey
October 28 - Mexico City
October 29 - Guadalajara
000905
We'll be leaving for the European tour in a couple
of days. Some revisions to the tourschedule have been announced
- click here for the current dates.
As on the last tour, there will be a tour diary,
which you can follow by clicking here. We'll try to update
it as often as possible, and this time the Italian gigs WILL
be included ;-)
Century Media will re-release the "Skydancer
+ Of chaos and eternal night" CD for the US market. The
album, originally released by Spinefarm, has never been easy
to get hold of in the states, but this will soon change. The
reissue will be out on September 19, with brand new artwork,
which can be viewed in the "Discography" section.

The new forum is up and running, and can be accessed

an EzBoard forum instead of the obsolete old one, but the
main reason for changing is that the messages are better structured
and it's easier to get a good overview...Anyway, visit by

We just got the following dates for the Swedish
leg of the tour:
04.10 Malmö, KB
05.10 Stockholm, Klubben
06.10 Uppsala, Metro
07.10 Göteborg, Kåren
Full tour schedule here!
I'll soon start working on a totally new version
of this homepage. It'll take a while before it's finished,
but everybody is welcome to mail any suggestions, ideas or
requirements on what they want on the new site. Anything you
feel is missing on the current page? Anything that sucks/rules?

Just got informed by the company that hosts this
page that they are currently changing servers. This is the
reason why the site has been down every now and then the last
week. They'll continue testing and moving the servers during
the rest of the summer, but hopefully there won't be too much
problems...
Some minor updates - new splashpage, updated
discography with a bootleg section.
000722
Thanks to all people who showed up at our announced-in-the-last-minute
release party in Gothenburg last monday. We sadly weren't
able to play live, as is common practice on release parties,
since all members weren't at home, but be assured that there
will be a gig at the next release party!

Huge thanks to all Italian fans who made our
appearance at the G.O.M. festival such an overwhelming experience!
As some may have heard, our gig at the Wave Gothik Treffen
in Leipzig, Germany never occured since the whole festival
got cancelled the day before our scheduled show due to financial
problems (!)
The release date of "Haven" is getting
closer, and here is the promised mp3 taster in the shape of
"Feast of burden" (taken from the Century media
website).
Feast of burden, mp3 format, 3 280 kB
Recent soundcheck positions (Germany): Orkus
magazine: #2, Rock hard magazine: #3. European tour dates
are on the verge of getting confirmed - stay tuned for more
info.

Believe the hype! "Haven" is getting
first positions in the soundcheck sections of no less than
two magazines the next month. Germany's Metal Heart and Legacy
are both giving the CD "album of the month"-awards!
For IRC-addicts, there's now a #darktranquillity

Site updates: "Haven" added to the
discography, new live pics added to the "medial stimuli"
section, cover artwork for our old demo and EP now available
as hi-res images for download and print. Lyric page almost
finished now.
We've decided NOT to feature any preview mp3's
for "Haven" since we believe that the album should
be listened to and digested in its full glory....just kidding.
An mp3-taster will be uploaded in the very near future, so
stay tuned!

Some brief news: The promocopies of "Haven"
have been pressed and are currently being circulated among
the media. Initial reactions have been awesome so far. It's
now confirmed that the "ThereIn"-video will make
a multimedia appearance on the first edition of the album.
A pretty different D.T. site, "Midway through
infinity", has been created by Keir Howell. Check it
out:
After 666 days of delays, the soundclips of our
early demos and 7" EP's are available again, thanks to
Martin @ The Hive. Check them out at the "medial stimuli"
section.

"Haven" is mixed, mastered and sent
away for pressing, so we're eagerly awaiting the release.
In the meantime, some brief news:
The first pressing of "Haven" will
probably feature the video to "ThereIn" as added
multimedia bonus.
Lyrics for every release ever done will soon
be added to the page, thanks to Rahvin and his efforts.

Unless a major disaster occurs, the mixing of
the new album will be finished today, so I thought I'd let
you in on some details. This was probably the smoothest running
recording session in the history of the band, with things
going exceptionally well right from the start. The usual procedure
includes all sorts of equipment fuck-ups, delays and various
problems, but this time we had nothing of the sort.
We're all very pleased with the end result, both
sound- and musicwise, and are curious to see how people react
to the album. Release date is set to July 17 for both Europe
and the states.
Songs likely to appear on "Haven" are:
The wonders at your feet, Feast of burden, Haven,
Rundown, Not built to last, Fabric, Indifferent suns, Ego
drama, The same, At loss for words and Emptier still.
More details will follow in the near future.

Good news for our Russian fans: The lyrics to
some of our albums are now translated to Russian, thanks to
Defeat Scythe. Check it out on this URL:
Things are going fine with the recording of the
upcoming magnum opus "Haven". We're midway through
the studio session, with drums, bass and rhythm guitars having
been laid to tape. It seems likely that the album will see
the light of day in mid-July. We'll return with more info
in the near future.

Gig update: D.T. will appear on the "Wave
Gotik Treffen" in Leipzig, Germany on June 12. Site update:
Some banners are added to the "misc" section.
000312
Site update: Merchandise info added to the "Order"-section.
Only two t-shirts available so far, but more will follow soon.
Also added a lousy Flash-intro to the page. There will be
a massive re-design of this page after new album is recorded,
so make sure to have your browers prepared. If you don't have
the Shockwave player installed already, download it at:
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/

No updates for a while, since we're over-the-top
busy with the preparations for the new CD. Recordings will
begin in two weeks, and the album will most possibly be entitled
"Haven".
On the live-front, we're set to appear at the
"Gods of metal" festival in Italy in June, where
we will showcase some of the new material. Hopefully there
will be more festival dates confirmed soon.
000204
We'll start the recording of the next album in
late March, again at Studio Fredman. The album title is yet
to be decided, but songs include "Emptier still",
"Ego drama", "Haven", "Cornered",
"Misery in me" and "The wonders at your feet".
As for the nature of the music, we can't reveal too much before
the recording is actually done, but it will be a diverse,
heavy and intense album for sure. Stay tuned for a studio
report on these pages.

I (Niklas) have just finished the homepage for
my illustration studio, Cabin fever media. Feel free to take
a look!

D.T. is nominated for the Swedish Grammy awards.
The band appreciates this confirmation of their artistic integrity
and desire to reinvent their music instead of safely staying
within the same musical borders year after year.
The awards ceremony will take place on February
the 14th.
000112
Site updates: New live photos added and more
on their way, new Winamp skins added, Y2K bug in the forum
fixed. The band is busy writing material for the next album,
and are still checking different studio possibilities out.
Some other interesting things are in the pipeline, but haven't
been confirmed yet. Check this space for updates ;-)
News from 1999
991208
If you have access to Swedish radio, don't miss
D.T. on "P3 live" on the 9th of December, 21:03.
991126
Some observant people have informed that the
"ThereIn"-video can be viewed with the ThrottleBox
player at www.throttlebox.com. Download the player, install
it and begin browsing their page for the D.T. clip as well
as videos from various other Century media artists.
The dutch band Ethereal spawn have an mp3 of
their live version of "Punish my heaven". The song
will actually be featured on their debut album as well, which
is a great honour for us. Visit their page at: http://listen.to/etherealspawn.
991121
Small update; some live pictures added in the
"medial..." section as well as links to mp3-files
of our '91 demo and '92 EP.
991112
The tour went went well, and we'd like to thank
all the supportive and generally nice people we met along
the way. The planned tour diary-thing didn't turn out as well
as planned, basically because we were relying on less-than-stable
mobile phone connections that refused to work more often than
not. Apologies for the lack of updates towards the end.
On the 9:th of December, 21:03, the national
swedish radio channel P3 will send a live recording from the
gig in Gothenburg on their "P3 live"-show, so those
who missed the tour can get a taster of what it was like.
What more? The band is busy writing material
for the next album, and we're aiming for a recording within
the first half of 2000.
Thanks to all those who have sent us live pictures
from the tour. There will be an update of this page with lots
of photos as soon as possible.
990912
The band just returned home from a glorious mini-tour
in Japan. We'll soon embark on the European tour, and some
gigs in scandinavia have been added to the trip. Click here
for the full tourplan.
Make sure to follow the exclusive tour diary
which will be available on this site. You'll be able to follow
the band on their 5-week trek, with updates being made almost
every day.
990824
It has been a while since the last update, and
several sections of the page are still quite empty. This is
regretable, but since things are extremly hectic with the
band at the moment (obviously, this must be the highest priority),
there isn't much time left for working with the site.
Some new flesh has been added though; in the
"medial stimuli"-section, there are two cool Winamp
skins based on the "Projector" design. Also, some
live pictures are available. There will be lots of more stuff
added when time permits. Anyone with D.T.-photos are welcome
to send them to hq@darktranquillity.com. The best contribution
will win a signed copy of our next album.
"Projector" is now released in the
states, and should be available from the usual outlets. A
limited edition vinyl LP has also been released. For more
info on these, contact century media.
990713
Minor update: The lyrics to "Exposure"
are now available here. The situation is rather confusing
regarding this bonus track. It's only featured on some "Projector"
digipacks, and is not mentioned in the tracklisting on some
of these.
US release date for "Projector" is
confirmed now: August the 10th.
990623
"Projector" is finally released and
should be hitting the stores in Europe this week. No details
are confirmed regarding the date of the US release.
Apparantly, only some of the "Projector"
digipacks feature the elusive "Exposure" bonus track.
Apologies for the misleading info.
The video clip for "ThereIn" is currently
being edited, and it looks very promising; far more professional
than what is the norm in the field.
As you may notice, the homepage is re-designed.
The massive new version with tons of new features isn't finished
yet, but I wanted the page to have at least a facelift to
celebrate the release of the new album. Since I'm updating
a little at a time, some things may occasionally look a bit
strange. Don't worry in that case. Feel free to report missing
links and other fuck-ups to hq@darktranquillity.com.
990614
The first pressing of "Projector" will
be in a limited edition digipack format, featuring the added
luxury of the bonus track "Exposure".
D.T. has been confirmed to play at the following
events:
July 9th: Tuska metal fest, Helsinki, Finland
August 6th: Biebob Festival, Biebob, Belgium
August 7th: Wacken Open Air, Germany
A temporary tour schedule for the European tour
with IN FLAMES, CHILDREN OF BODOM and ARCH ENEMY can be found
here.
We don't have anything to do with the planning
of the touring route, so please don't send any questions why
we don't play in your hometown ;-)
990523
"FreeCard" sample available again,
see "audial stimuli" section.
990522
FINALLY - the soundfiles are available again,
thanks to the digital hospitality of Displacer, the man behind
Displacer's Death tab - the greatest tabulature resource on
the net. He has kindly provided us with server space to host
the D.T. mp3-files. All budding musicians should visit his
site, and DO note the new url:
http://www.dsrmusic.com/metaltab
Note that "FreeCard" isn't uploaded
to the new location yet.
More news: The band will be shooting a video
clip for "ThereIn" in the near future.
A redesign of this site is underway, and plans
are to launch it in connection with the "Projector"
release. If you have any specific ideas about what you want
to see on the new site, just drop a mail and we'll take it
under consideration.
990516
"Projector" promo-CDs are now being
circulated to magazines and radio stations. In the first printed
review, the album was awarded a prestigous 100/100 mark in
the influential Italian FLASH magazine. As a teaser, we here
present an excerpt from the review:
"The Swedish band Dark Tranquillity is in
my opinion one of the best band of the 90s. With their debut
"Skydancer" they managed to unite fast death metal
with melodic lines and acoustic/folk interludes when noone
was thinking about it. They then picked up At the Gates' sceptre
and raised it at the highest point with the still technically
unmatched "The Gallery" and after this they kicked
the asses of all the new ultra-melodic newbie bands with their
exceptional "The Mind's I" and its tour.
Now that melodic death metal has become an involutive
and stereotyped genre, Dark Tranquillity twsit the coordinates
and throw themselves on paths never tried before, thus creating
this masterpiece called "Projector". This disc is
powered by an hyper-technologic production which underlines
the souds of bass, clean voice and undistorted guitars, creating
an atmospherical yet decadent effect which stains the whole
album with its dark and sad colours.
[...]
This is a once-in-a-lifetime disc, one of those
works which wraps you since the first listening and make you
forget eveything else around you with its own music. Everyone
should own, avoiding all kind of prejudice and classification,
letting himself go to the pure art enclosed in "Projector".
This is an incredible step beyond for the even
more genious Dark Tranquillity, and if you are going to betray
the band now you are not worthy to own and listen to their
older albums... needless to say, "Projector" has
wiped away every other CD from my stereo and car!

Pure coolness, ready to conquer the world - the
new D.T. line-up from l to r:
Niklas Sundin - guitars, Michael Niklasson -
guitars, Anders Jivarp - drums, Martin Henriksson - bass,
Mikael Stanne - vocals and Martin Brändström - electronics.
990417
The old sound files are still unavailable, but
to compensate for this, we now offer the complete album version
of "ThereIn" for download:
therein.mp3 (4 832 mB).
990410
Due to reasons beyond our control, the gig in
Wuppertal has unfortunately been cancelled.
Release date for "Projector" is now
set: June 23. As can be seen on the index page, the cover
image has been changed.
Things have been immensely busy recently, so
there haven't been any time for maintaining this page. The
removed mp3-files still haven't found a new location, and
there are other things that need updating, but patience will
be rewarded...
990313
The band has decided to sign a worldwide deal
with Century Media, and are hoping for a release of "Projector"
sometime in June.
Some site-related news: The fan-page links are
temporarly removed, since most the links were dead. In the
future, we'll only include pages that are submitted to us
with an URL. If you have a D.T. page and want it linked, please
mail us and we'll fix it a.s.a.p.
The mail forwarding service has proven popular,
and due to the massive number of requests, we draw the limit
now. In order for the mail redirection to work smoothly, we
can't accept further adresses. All previously requested aliases
should work now. If you've submitted an adress but still are
having trouble with it, please send a mail to
forward@darktranquillity.com.
990228
The mp3-files of the songs from "Projector"
have been so popular that the site has exceeded it's allowed
traffic-rate this month. Therefore, all sound files will be
moved to another server. This will be taken care of within
a couple of days, but the sound files are removed from this
server and are therefore temporarly unavailable.
990226
As some of you may have noticed, the homepage
hasn't been performing so well the last couple of days. It's
hard to access ("server not responding"), it's taking
forever to load when it does work, and the forum seems to
have vanished ("document contains no data"). Also,
the counter has been reset to an humiliating two-digit number
instead of the massive 45000-score it used to have ;-)
We've mailed the server provider about the problems,
and hope that things will get back to normal a.s.a.p.
990219
D.T. will headline a festival gig at H.D.J.,
Wuppertal, Germany on the 17th of April. This will be our
first show in almost a year, and among the other appearing
bands are Misanthrope and Night in gales. The set will feature
the best of the old material as well as a couple of tracks
from "Projector".
990207
Mp3-file of "Lady in black" from the
mercyful fate tribute album added to the audial stimuli-section.
lady in black.mp3 (2078 kB)
990202
There are several bands who have performed covers
of D.T.-songs live, but the dutch band Ethereal Spawn seems
to be the first to include one on an official release. Their
upcoming MCD will feature their version of "Punish my
heaven".
990125
Since the album is a bit delayed, we're now publishing
another mp3 preview. This time it's a track called "ThereIn",
in an edited version made exclusively for this website. Download
by clicking below:
therein.mp3 (2255 kB)
990125
Since we've been recieving requests about it,
we now offer a mailredirection service. You can now impress
your friends and relatives by having a mail adress in the
format:
yourname@darktranquillity.com
This is a mail alias that will forward incoming
mails to an adress of your choise. In order to obtain an alias
on the d.t.-domain, just send a letter to:
forward@darktranquillity.com
stating the wanted alias as well as the adress
that that the mails will be forwarded to. This won't cost
you anything. The mail server has been working well so far,
but in case that something fucks up or doesn't come through
properly, we don't hold any responsability for it. This is
just an experiment. If for some reason it doesn't work out,
we'll delete the aliases (but this isn't likely to happen).
990112
Times are a-changin' and so is the band. 1999
brings the second line-up change in the ten-year history of
D.T. Our second guitarist Fredrik Johansson is now out of
the band for various reasons, and his slot is filled by our
bassist Martin Henriksson. In addition to this, we welcome
new member Martin Brändström on keyboards and electronics.
The bass job is still vacant, and we're currently searching
for a suitable person to add to the ranks.
990103
Contrary to what's previously been known, "Projector"
will not be released through OSMOSE PRODUCTIONS. The band
is currently negotiating with several well-known labels for
a new contract. Hopefully, this won't delay the album for
too long. At present, it looks realistic to assume that it'll
be released around April. We want to state that the split
with OSMOSE was entirely amicable and we've had a great working
relationship with them for four years.
Guitar tabs are now available at the misc-section.
These tabs were taken from Displacer's death tab and Death
Warp, which are doing an excellent job. Please visit and support
them.
An mp3 file of "22 acacia avenue" from
the Iron Maiden tribute album is now uploaded to the audial
stimuli-section.
News from 1998
981215
A chat room has been added to the page. It's
not the most original thing nowadays, and perhaps there won't
be more than one person there most of the time, but there
will be chat sessions with the band every now and then if
there is an interest. We'll see what happens.

The tracklist for "Projector" is now
finished, and the full lyrics will be published in the near
future. The total playing time will be around 50 minutes,
and the hit parade in question reads as follows:
FreeCard, ThereIn, Undo Control, Auctioned, To
a Bitter Halt, The Sun fired Blanks, Nether Novas, Day To
End, Dobermann, On your Time
981105
A lot of people have requested the lyrics to
"FreeCard", so here they are:

981102
We now have a new mailing list. Those who subscribed
to the previous list will have to submit their email adress
again. Sorry for the inconvinience, but this list will stay
permanent from now on.
981028
New adjustments are made gradually on the page,
so it may occasionally look like hell...There's a message
board up and running now, though the layout is a bit messy.
Due to lack of time, the only way to get the page renewed
is to make a little at a time, so please be patient.
981014
As some of you probably noticed, our old homepage
disappeared from the digital face of the earth a month or
so ago. Bayside, the US company that provided server space
for the page, shut all activity down without informing their
customers. We now have our own domain, hosted by a more professional
firm, to ensure that such a disaster never will occur again.
This is basically the old page, uploaded to a
new location. A re-design is on its way, where we'll take
advantage of the improved features the new server offers.
However, it'll take some time before everything is ready.
Good news - the new album is now recorded and
mixed; its title: "Projector". This mindblasting
meisterpiece will see the light of day in Jan/Feb '99, but
as a bonus for our the netbound fans, we have a full song,
"FreeCard", available in mp3 format - almost half
a year before the release of the album! Download it by clicking
below.
FreeCard.mp3 (4 286 kB)
If you don't have an mp3-player, download the
best one at:
www.winamp.com
Please don't mail the band with questions on
how to download and play the song. There's info to be found
all over the web, so just find it yourself, ok?

The plans for a message board on these pages
are postponed, but J.P. Morin's Beyond Death discussion forum
should appeal to all conversation-hungry fans of D.T. and
similar bands. Go there now!

D.T. will be featured on the "Statements
of intent" compilation album, the primer release of the
new Earache sublabel Wicked World. We actually don't know
which track that is set for inclusion, but it's most likely
a song from "The mind's I". Release date for the
comp.CD is July 27.

"The gallery" has been released on
picture disc LP. For more info regarding this AND the other
releases, please mail to OSMOSE and not the band.

"World domination live" is out now,
on both video and CD. Despite the somewhat cheesy packaging
and presentation, the actual gig-recording is of high quality
and should be purchased as soon as possible by interested
parties. Tracklist:
Dreamlore degenerate, Punish my heaven Insanity's
crescendo, Zodijackyl light Lethe, Constant, Of chaos and
eternal night
Video- and soundclips will hopefully be published
here soon.
A D.T. message board will soon be added on these
pages thanks to the tabulature-wizard and programming-guru
Displacer. Visit his site and welter in notation!

The next full length album will be recorded in
august/september, again in studio fredman, gothenburg. It's
still too early for any reports on the direction of the new
material, but people will probably be surprised...
Advance soundfiles will be published here shortly
after the recording.
The live-video and double live CD recorded on
the OSMOSE label tour in december '97 will be released in
july. We'll add some video- and soundclips to this site as
soon as the product as available. Note that it features ALL
the bands on the tour, not only D.T.
We don't have the full track listing yet, but
there will be material from all full-length albums and probably
a cover song as well...
Speaking of soundfiles, this is something for
all you who have been asking for our pre-album material:
http://mobile.unicel.ru/dt/index.htm
This russian server contains mp3-files of ALL
demo and 7" recordings, as well as two unreleased songs
written in '92.
The US guitar magazine CHAOS THEORY have published
a complete guitar tab / notation score of "punish my
heaven" in their premier issue. The song is adequately
transposed, and all wannabe-guitarheroes should buy it now
:-)
